Final Meets for Falcons


Today in Jacksonville, Florida at the JAC Classic, Two of our very own Falcons competed in a exhibition. Michael Merritt and Taijah Lemaine both look forward to getting back in the swing of competition for the final 3 meets of the post season challenge.

Michael and Taijah both are going to initiate a end of season goal setting series. As they to the Jax Athletic Club facility, we look to see their progress.

T. Lemaine threw today for a 6.85m taking second place in the girls shot put. She had a rough series but managed to fight it out. During her 1st and 2nd attempts she threw well. With a power shout she managed to edge out exhaustion to a decent throw. She decided to scratch attempts 5 and 6.

1st attempt 6.85 meters

2nd attempt 6.25 meters

3rd attempt 6.53 meters



Continued, Michael During his 100m he ran with a mixed group but ran hard. He placed first place against the other runners and even marked down a Personal Best Time of the year. He beat his personal best 100m time by one tenth of a second. He ran a 13.48 in Indiana And today he ran a 13.35.


Falcons will return to the meet location in two weeks to recapture a faster time. Preparation is on the way this Monday at 7:30 pm. Follow their stats on our site.
