Falcons Take Flight in Central Florida

Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at the Central Florida Youth Invite, in Orlando FL. the Falcons flew into view for their outdoor season debut. The Falcons spent weeks training and developing skill for track and field. It paid off definitely because The Falcons showed they were ready to compete against real competition.

In the 11 year old age division Nahla McCrae, showcased her talent by running a 15.34 in the 100m. She later ran -2.06 sec off the team record in the 200m (29.79, by Isabella Alicea 2018), Nahla clocked a 31.85. Despite this being jet first meet, she already had sights of breaking that team record.

In the boys 7-8 age division, Aaron Perez in the 400m ran the fastest on the team in the event, setting a time of 1:31 in the 400m sprint. That time is 5 seconds faster than any other Falcon in his age group. Additionally the time he set, was the new team record in his division. He also ran the 100m and 200m sprints.

Zion Wiliiams and Luca Wright both competed in the 100 meter sprint and 200m and 400m sprints as well for their team. Luca Wright is currently the fastest 7-8 year old Falcon in the 100m sprint. He set a new 100m 7-8 Falcon Record of 17.23. His confidence is sure to make him work hard to set a new PB (personal best) before mid outdoor season.

Zion, despite being nervous, ran well for his first competition. He set a time of 17.92 in the 100m sprint with style. His form was crisp as he could make it.

One thing's for sure, Zion took some competitors out in the 200 meter sprint setting the fastest 200m time for the team this meet, a New Falcon Record of 39.03.

The competition season is on the way and the 7-8 year old age division boys are expected to add horizontal jumps to their mix soon.

From the Girls 7 - 8 Age Division, Rivka Jones made her debut on the track. She competed in the 100m, 200m and 400m sprints. She was very excited the moment she stepped on the track and ran her best for her first competition. She clocked a 48.08 in the 200m and Her times are the first of her division for the Falcons. She plans on setting the bar high.

Her sister Anouk Jones, showed up and showed out for the 6 and Under Age Division as well. The times she set were good for her first meet. one her stats from when she ran 14.84 in the 55m, she displayed valid runners form with a pitch of diva! She is competitive as well as Rivka, who are both putting the Jones footprint in Falcon history as their names are now both on the

record board.
