Falcons Sore at Central Florida Invite. Update from Mar. 27th

The meet started out with a show down in the 55m. The 6U division Josiah Hurst, a young falcon sprinter set a new personal best (PB). He ran a 13.13 in his race. The field events for the F6U Josiah marked a 1.27 m jump, 4ft 1.5in. Josiah also ran well in the 100m setting his new PB of 23.74. The Falcons competed in the horizontal jumps this meet, with their first jumps of the season. In the 7-8 division Alanah Irby, jumped well for her first jump series of the season marking just over 1 meter Alanah will explore 2 meters in the future. She ran well in the 100 m setting a new PB of 19.67 and new Falcons 7-8 Division record in the 100m. She clocked 45.09 in the 200m setting another PB later in the meet.

Gianna Steven's has been making a nice improvement in her division, setting two new PB's for the 11-12 yrs old Lady Falcons. In the 100m she ran, 15.02 in the 100m and 31.49 in the 200 m. She is sure to be sub 30 soon in this event. Sophia represented For the Lady Falcons sticking the first Mark of the season at 3.50 m in the girls Long jump. She plans to break her PB coming soon in Gainesville. The next competition she will be in. Nahla McCrae matched her 200m First time of the season at 29.79. Her anticipation to run faster showed once she saw her time. She will be competing in Atlanta this coming weekend to do just that. Check out the Youth Falcons as they near the Summer Games.
