The Embry Riddle Spike Classic has been a eye opening experience for the Falcons. Starting with Master Athlete Jermaine Haugabook (U30-35), who ran the 100 meter and 200 meter sprints, competed with the colliegate men. He ran a tough heat in the 100m clocking a 11.89. Later in the day he ran a 200m in 24.16, setting a new PB. Sarah Tully ran in the Open class U19-29. She only ran the 100m after suffering a minor injury the meet prior. She clocked a 13.48 a new season PB. She is preparing to set a new PB in her next competition.
Kyra Haugabook, our USATF Youth Girls Sprinter U13-14, ran a competitive 200m with the colliegate women placing 4th in her heat. She ran a second slower than her PB clocking 27.61. She was satisfied given the level of competition. Taijah Lemaine U15-16, made her appearance this meet. She threw shot put with the colliegate women. A rare opportunity with an unfortunate situation. Although she threw well, the referee did not measure her mark. She will be throwing at the next competition looking to set a team record.
